ANDY WADDELL
Andy Waddell is an exciting young jazz guitarist based in the LA/Orange County
area. He first took an interest in jazz at the age of 12 and his music education
eventually lead him to the Studio Jazz Guitar Department at USC. Andy has
studied with several acclaimed players, including Bruce Foreman, Frank Potenza,
Joe Jewell, Pat Kelly, and the legendary Joe Diorio. Over the past few years,
Andy has worked professionally and has had the opportunity to perform with world
renowned composer Maria Schneider, Peter Erskine, Andy Martin, Bob Mintzer, Bill
Watrous and others. His sound has its roots in traditional bebop, with a
significant modern and progressive flavor. He is currently working toward his
first album featuring his original music.
